- gotten myself a kampfer..trying to mod it esp after seeing the inspirational mod for kanji kampfer..hopefully i can try to submit this for BAKUC 2008..
here's a bit of my WIPs... feel free to comment... all comments will be taken seriously...
i'm using a 1/144 Kampfer... so i guess the smaller scale makes it harder detail everything... and yes..some of the ideas were pirated off kanji kampfer..sorry kenny!
general overview of the mods for the legs...
details on the thruster side...
details of inner leg... kinda plain though...
added pla plates and some option parts for the legs... filled in the knee guard with epoxy putty..
decided to do away with the orange thrusters tt comes with the model...
filled in the shoulder "holes" with blu tack that will act as a support for the golden thrusters from HM...
added in 2 blades tt will act as claw... it can be rotated back so as not to hinder the arms when it comes to holding weapons..
however, the claw is still crude.. dunno how to add more details for this..
all i did was to drill holes thru the arms/blades and stick it thru with a toothpick... then putty it and put a piece of pla plate to cover up the putty..
you can see that the groin area is flatten out with putty and pla plates..original was rounded which i din realli like...
some further concepts that i'm thinking abt...
might make it a gloss black kampfer, detailed with greys/silver/gold....this was suggested by my bro who insist that gloss black will be cool... i thought abt it... and it does seems tt i might be able to avoid shading if i were to gloss the whole thing...
and if i were to make it black.. it might be more apt for me to build this like kinda like a ninja kampfer... since i already have the claws for it..
so far the choices of weapons that come across my mind are:
Lance from forbidden gundam
Scythe from Deathgod gundam
Giant broadsword from one of my SD gundam
Pulse Cannon from my Heavy arms custom
and yeah...brain dead... pls gimme some suggestions...
